In most cases a dry fit of the cabinetry takes 1-2 working days depending on size of units. Things to consider are access to the property and the fall of the patio area.

The best location for an outdoor kitchen depends on various factors:
Proximity to the house:
Having the outdoor kitchen near the house allows for easy access to utilities like water and electricity. It also simplifies trips between the indoor kitchen and the outdoor cooking space.
Wind and sun exposure:
While planning your al fresco kitchen, we’ll consider the prevailing wind direction and the path of the sun throughout the day. We can help to position the outdoor kitchen to minimise wind exposure and maximise shade / sun, depending on your preference.
Views and aesthetics:
Choose a location that offers pleasant views and integrates well with the overall design and aesthetics of your outdoor living space.
Ventilation:
Adequate ventilation is crucial for safety and comfort. We’ll avoid placing the outdoor kitchen in an enclosed space without proper airflow.
Privacy:
If needed, we can position the outdoor kitchen in a more private area to enhance the overall dining and entertaining experience.
Accessibility:
Ensure that the outdoor kitchen is easily accessible for both hosts and guests. A smooth flow between the indoor and outdoor spaces is ideal.
Utilities:
Consider the availability of utilities such as water, gas, and electricity. Our design team will work with you to plan the location, minimising the need for extensive utility installations.
Functionality:
We’ll design your outdoor kitchen location based on its intended functions. For example, if you plan to entertain frequently, our design team will ensure there is enough space for seating and socialising.
Protection from the elements:
Ask us about garden Pergolas and coverings, to protect your outdoor kitchen from rain and excessive sun exposure. A louvered roof will ensure you stay dry whilst taking in the right amount of vitamin D.
Ultimately, the best location for an outdoor kitchen is one that aligns with your lifestyle, available space, and aesthetic preferences; while considering practical aspects like utility access and safety.
Design and materials:
The materials we use in the construction of your outdoor kitchen play a crucial role. Durable, weather-resistant materials can withstand exposure to the elements. Additionally, having proper insulation and ventilation can make the space more comfortable during extreme temperatures.
Covering and protection:
Providing some form of covering, such as a pergola, awning, or roof, can protect the outdoor kitchen from rain and sun, making it more usable in various weather conditions.
Appliance considerations:
Our expert fitters ensure that the appliances in your outdoor kitchen are suitable for the local climate. For instance, if you experience freezing temperatures, we make sure that water lines are properly insulated or can be drained to prevent freezing.
Winterisation:
In colder climates, taking steps to ‘winterise’ your outdoor kitchen can be essential. This may involve covering or storing certain items, disconnecting water lines, and protecting surfaces. We’re always here to advise.
